Turkish Businessman’s accusations prove untrue as Umar Farooq Zahoor is acquitted

Sheikh Umar Farooq Zahoor, has been doing many philanthropic works, he has helped many organizations through his social responsibility activities. Many young people around the world see him as their role model as his personality is a combination of brilliance and benevolence.

But recently, Umar Farooq Zahoor, lodged a complaint of a false report against Turkish businessman, Erhan Kanioglulari, stating that he had put the public servants to use their lawful powers to the enquiry of the applicant.

He alleged that the offence of giving false information to the police constitutes as offence punishable under Section 182 PPC and the accused had committed a cognizable offence punishable under Section 389 PPC.

This action was taken by him after Erhan Kanioglulari, had charged him of usurping his money and got a false case registered against him at Karachi’s Artillery Maidan Police Station.

Another huge accusation against Erhan Kanioglulari by Umar Farooq was blackmailing and malicious prosecution.

Earlier on 31 March 2008, the session court in Karachi also acquitted Umar Farooq Zahoor after hearing the case filed under section 506 PPC by the Artillery Maidan Police Station pursuant to FIR No. 97 from 2004. The trial court had convicted the businessman in Sessions Case Number 546 of 2004 under Section 265 K of the CRPC.

But still, even after the case went in favor of Umar Farooq in 2008, the Turkish national also moved the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Umar Farooq.

Alongside his businesses, Umar Farooq Zahoor also looks to give back to the community in every way possible. Sheik Umar Farooq Zahoor has received the honorable title of a philanthropist because of his numerous contributions and support from different parts of the society. It is easy to gain wealth and fame in today's materialistic world, but he also has always managed to receive love from the people.

He has done a lot of philanthropic work and has donated to charities and organizations to help the society whenever possible.

Therefore in what was anexpected result, the investigating bureau conducted an inquiry into the complaint and later a NAB court cleared the Pakistani- Norwegian businessman of all charges, stating all the accusations by Erhan Kanioglulari are false.

Umar Farooq Zahoor further asked his lawyer that the confusion created in the public domain should immediately be cleared and kept straight. He also told to wash off his name if it appears wrongfully on websites or any other media platforms.
